NEW ORAL DRUG FOR COVID-19

          2-DG ( 2-deoxy-D-Glucose ) The first batch of anti-covid drug 2-DG has been released . It is in powder form in a sachet and can be taken orally after dissolving in water. Drugs Controller General Of India (DCGI) approved the oral drug for emergency use as an adjunct therapy in moderate to severe Covid-19 patients. 2-DG has been developed by the Institute of Nuclear Medicine and Allied Sciences(INMAS),New Delhi, a lab. of the Defence   Research   And Development Organisation   (DRDO) in collaboration with Hyderabad based pharma company Dr. Reddy's Laboratories. TIPS BEFORE YOUR VACCINE SHOT

1.   Drink plenty of fluids before and after the vaccine staying adequately hydrated is very important. 2. Eat Anti-inflammatory foods don't go empty stomach.Fruits,Vegetables,Fatty fish,Nuts,Seeds willbe the best idea before your vaccine shot.Eat something that is made at home and with little processing. 3. A goodnight sleep is very important. 4. Exercise you exercise daily or not but start it atleast 2-3 days before your vaccine shot.Even a brisk walk is acceptable. 5. People with Diabetes and B.P. (hyper or hypo) need to keep these in check. Cancer patients must act on medical advice. 6. People who have received blood plasma or monoclonal antibodies as a part of Covid-19 treatment or those who have been infected in the last one and a half months are advised to not take the vaccine right now. 7.  BABY BOTTLE TOOTH DECAY OR NURSING BOTTLE CARIES   Is the most common dental problem seen in children who are bottle fed.  Prevention 1) Child shouldn't be allowed to sleep with bottle containing milk/formulae or sweetened liquids. 2) Child teeth should be wiped after every feed. 3) Brushing to be started as soon as first tooth appear. 4) Cultivate habit of drinking milk in glass as early as possible. 5) Regular dental checkups. Milk teeth with cavities and infection can result in damaging of permanent teeth as well.
