Bachelors of Dental Surgery Course Layout
Our Young Generation is aspiring to be Great Doctors. After clearing their NEET Exam they become eligible for what they aspire for. Medical students who choose to be Dental Surgeons have to give following exams each year to become a Dental Surgeon. This Degree is of 5 years in total(4+1).But in 2007 Government of India decided to make it 5 years in whole including internship instead of 4+1 years.4 years of core studies with patient work and 1 year dedicated for Internship. This 5 year plan was executed for 1 year only after that they came back to 4+1 as followed earlier .

- Dental Anatomy and Histology
2nd Year Professional Examination
- General Pathology & Microbioloy
- Pharmacology
- Dental Materials
- Pre-Clinical Prosthodontics
- Pre-Clinical Conservatives
3rd Year Professional Examination
- General Medicine
- General Surgery
- Oral Pathology & Microbiology
4th Year Professional Examination
- Pedodontics
- Periodontics
- Orthodontics
- Oral Medicine & Radiology
5th Year Professional Examination
- Consevative Dentistry & Endodontics
- Prosthodontics
- Community Dentistry
- Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery
This was what it was done in 2007 by the Government of India. Presently they are following 4+1 years rule in which 4th and 5th year examination are taken in 4th year only and 1 whole year is dedicated to internship.
